Atlas Copco to amass Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the German industrial pump producer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from personal equity agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily within the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics purposes.
Crazy has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a worldwide gross sales and repair footprint. The firm employs 265 individuals and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.four million.
“Industrial pumps is a section that we have recognized as a strategic match for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has main differentiated technology with a powerful aftermarket business,” mentioned Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique enterprise space. “Wangen Pumpen is a robust model and is thought for high quality in demanding industrial applications. The acquired business will turn out to be part of the Power and Flow division inside Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is predicted to be completed in the course of the second quarter of 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
